Sintra

ABOUT SINTRA / FOREX:

Sintra is a Closed Cell PVC Foam thermoplastic which is extremely rigid, lightweight and super smooth! Because of this, Sintra is a very good choice when making big armors, props or weapons for your cosplay or costume. Sintra is also known as Forex.

In short Sintra is heat shapable, sandable, cuttable by hand (3mm) or with a saw (5mm, 10mm), drillable, paintable with Amsterdam Acrylic Paint (we always recommend priming first), comes in various thicknesses and is in general a wonderfully versatile material to work with. The best glue for Sintra is superglue, like our Swiftline Superglue.

IMPORTANT:

Always be in a well ventilated space and wear a respirator when heating or sanding Sintra because of toxic fumes! Your health always comes first!
